The town of Barano d’Ischia is one of the six municipalities of the island. It boasts one of the most visited places: Maronti Beach, the largest on the island with its 3-kilometres of low and sandy coast. The beach and its surroundings are home to several refreshment facilities, such as bars, pubs, restaurants and hotels.

One of the most characteristic and unique places of the island is the Nitrodi Spring, located in Buonopane, a hamlet of the town of Barano. This spring is known worldwide for its therapeutic properties. Indeed, the specific water composition is recommended to treat skin diseases and to cure bowel and kidney issues.
The water has naturally flowed for centuries. The first evidence dates back to the I century B.C., which explains why its name is a homage to the Latin nymphs Nitrodes. Right here where the water flows, a spa has been created, allowing you to enjoy its benefits through showers.
